Abraham H. Showalter (1872-1944) and his wife Lydia (1874-1920) lived next to Alexander Gray (1856-1940) and Rose Althea Browning Gray (1854-1938) on farms in Craig, Missouri according to the 1910 US Census.

Erma is Bernice Erma Gray (1888-1981), daughter of Alex and Rose. Edgar is Franklin Edgar Gray (1878-1971), son of Alex and Rose.

Frank Browning is Rose’s brother, John Francis Browning (1852-1934.)

Abe is the writer’s son Ralph Abraham Showalter (1898-1985.)

Naomi is the writer’s daughter, Edee Naomi Showalter Miller (1909-1986).
